Dwayne "Chip" Cromarty
Chip has spent his life in Northern Saskatchewan. He started guiding in the early 1980’s and quickly focused on what has become a lifelong passion—fly fishing for pike. Through decades of observation and hands-on experience, he has developed a simple, effective approach to targeting big fish.
Durable, easy-casting flies paired with a deep understanding of pike behaviour consistently produce results. Whether at the vise, in the boat, or around camp, Chip’s knowledge and enthusiasm are something every guest walks away with.
Clifford Salisbury
Clifford Salisbury was born and raised in The Pas, Manitoba, and has spent his entire life hunting and fishing in the north. Growing up in the bush gave him a natural understanding of wildlife and the environment.
He guides black bear, moose, and fishing trips, bringing experience and a strong work ethic to everything he does. From running baits to calling moose or working a shoreline, Clifford is dependable, capable, and always dialed in to the task at hand.
Terrelle
Terrelle is from Cold Lake, Alberta, and now teaches high school science in Calgary. His background gives him a unique, analytical perspective on fish behaviour and aquatic systems.
A dedicated fly angler, he combines technical knowledge with time on the water to consistently produce results. Terrelle has a natural ability to explain techniques clearly, helping guests understand not just what to do—but why it works.
Nathan
Nathan – Guide Nathan is from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and runs a key part of our river program. As the operator of our flat bottom boats, he knows how to safely and efficiently navigate changing water conditions while staying on fish.
With a strong background in fly fishing, Nathan focuses on reading water, adjusting presentations, and putting guests in the right spots at the right time. His calm, confident approach makes for smooth, productive days on the river.
Eric
Eric is our pontoon boat captain and specializes in creating a relaxed, enjoyable experience on the water. He’s especially great with families, making sure everyone feels comfortable and involved throughout the day.
With solid knowledge of walleye, pike, and fly fishing, Eric adapts easily to different styles and skill levels. His laid-back personality and attention to detail make every outing both fun and memorable.
Jack
Jack is from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and is the youngest member of our crew. He’s been immersed in the outdoors from a young age and brings a high level of energy and passion to every trip.
An avid hunter and lifelong angler, Jack has a particular love for chasing big pike. He’s spent years on the water and enjoys every opportunity to get after fish and make the most of the day.
Justin
Justin is from Big River, Saskatchewan, and is one of the younger members of the team. He grew up hunting and fishing, developing strong instincts and a feel for the water early on.
He brings a steady, focused approach to guiding, with a knack for adapting to conditions and staying on fish. Quietly confident and easy to get along with, Justin helps create a smooth, enjoyable experience for everyone in the boat.
Max
Max is from Wilcox, Saskatchewan and has spent his life hunting and fishing. He brings that same passion into his role as a guide, along with the discipline and drive developed through professional hockey in the United States.
His competitive mindset and strong work ethic show in how he approaches each day—focused, motivated, and always pushing to make the most of the opportunity. Max brings energy to the crew and keeps things fun while staying dialed in on the goal.
Josh
Josh grew up in the US Virgin Islands and started his passion for fishing on the ocean. His family moved to Edmonton Alberta to take over the family business and he started fishing smaller waters. Branching out from convectional tackle he developed his love fly fishing in the lakes a rivers around western Canada. Either on the fly and or on a spinning rod he gets you on fish, especially small ones. His favorite way to target big pike is in shallow water using obnoxiously large baits.
Pat & Lori
Pat and Lori are the owners of Cree River Lodge, bringing decades of experience and a deep-rooted passion for the outdoors to the operation. They live in White Fox, Saskatchewan, and Pat has been around outfitting his entire life, owning Cree River for over 20 years.
Over that time, Pat has developed an unmatched understanding of the region—its fisheries, wildlife, and the unique experience it offers. His hands-on approach and commitment to quality have helped shape Cree River into a destination known for both exceptional fishing and genuine northern hospitality.
Lori plays an equally important role in the day-to-day operation, helping create the warm, welcoming atmosphere that sets the lodge apart. Together, Pat and Lori take pride in making every guest feel like family—from the moment they arrive to the day they leave.
For them, it’s about more than just a trip—it’s about building relationships, sharing experiences, and continuing a tradition of outfitting that has been built over a lifetime.
